...Heat Index Values 95 to 100 Degrees This Afternoon and Early Evening... The combination of temperatures in the low to mid 90s and dew points in the lower 70s will result in the heat index values of 95 to 100 degrees this afternoon and early evening. Heat indices are also expected to reach 95 to 100 degrees during the afternoon and early evening tomorrow and Thursday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Limit outdoor activity when possible. If driving, when you park don`t forget to look before you lock.

Temperatures in the low to mid 90s and humid conditions will bring heat index values to near 100 degrees this afternoon. This will bring a threat of heat related illness for individuals participating in prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity. Heat index values are expected to reach near 100 degrees again Wednesday afternoon. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Limit outdoor activity when possible and take breaks in an air conditioned location. Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.

...Hot And Humid Conditions Expected... The combination of high temperatures in the low to mid 90s, and high humidity will lead to peak heat index values in the upper 90s and low 100s this afternoon and again Wednesday afternoon. The highest values in the 100 to 104 degree range will mainly be west of I-65 and north of I-64. Be sure to drink plenty of water if planning to be outdoors each afternoon. In addition, wear light and loose clothing and take breaks. Some relief may occur in spots with pop up thunderstorms each afternoon.
