NWS Central Illinois (Central and East Central Illinois)

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Edgar County in east central Illinois... Northern Clark County in east central Illinois...

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 133 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Paris, Marshall, Chrisman, Kansas, Vermilion, Redmon, Clarksville, Oliver, Dennison, Edgar, Metcalf, Edgar County Airport, Bell Ridge, Scottland and Sandford. This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 142 and 154.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.

NWS Louisville (Central Kentucky)

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTH CENTRAL CLARK AND SOUTHEASTERN SCOTT COUNTIES... At 525 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 9 miles southeast of Scottsburg, moving northeast at 15 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Marysville, Otisco, Nabb and Henryville. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Clark County in south central Indiana... Southeastern Scott County in south central Indiana...

* Until 845 PM EDT.

* At 539 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Providence Town, Borden, Marysville, Henryville, Blue Lick, Chestnut Hill, Nabb, Otisco and Memphis. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area over the next couple of hours.

* At 312 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Robinson, Oblong, Palestine, Hutsonville, Flat Rock, New Hebron, Annapolis, Hardinville, Eaton, Merom, Stoy, West York, Crawford County Airport, Trimble and Bellair.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southern Sullivan County in southwestern Indiana...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 506 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain fell earlier this afternoon and more heavy rainfall is about to impact the area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dugger, Carlisle, Merom, Turtle Creek Reservoir, Paxton and Pleasantville.
