TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Teachers from across the state gathered at Indiana State University on Monday morning.
The university hosted the Power of Reading Summit.
More than 200 teachers gathered to learn some new strategies for teaching reading in their classrooms.
This is the sixth year of the experience. Teachers told us it's a great opportunity to improve their teaching skills.
"We all know that there is more to learn and always more ways that we can help our struggling learners be better readers," Instructional Coach Amber Hook said.
On Tuesday, teachers will return to learn how to strengthen their instructional math skills.
