to you. so far this year... indiana state police have issued more than 380 warnings and tickets for 'move over law' violations. it's an issue police are cracking down on this week with special patrols. they'll be looking for distracted driving which may lead to drivers not moving over for stopped vehicles. state police say indiana was the first state to pass this kind of law in 19-99. the law applies when drivers are passing stopped emergency vehicles or other work vehicles. it requires drivers to move into another lane or slow down to 10 miles under the posted speed limit. last year, state police issued almost 2-thousand 'move over'
