one wabash valley school announced a new program to help their students on the path to graduation. good evening and welcome to news 10 on my fox 10. the linton-stockton school corporating had a community meeting tonight to announce their new plans. news 10's sarah lehman was there. she joins us now live in our newsroom with details. patrece... the school corporation announced a lot of things tonight. but one of those is helping develop a new graduate profile something that no other school in the area has quite like they want. < this is superintendent kathy goad's first year at linton-stockton school. tuesday night she invited alum, parents, business owners and anyone in the community to find out about the future of the school corporation...and help shape students futures. "we work together because the children that attend this school are going to be the adults in this community in the future and we want to make sure that we are developing the best young adults that we can." the room was filled with people who were curious about how the school was going to help the future of linton. one of those ways is with a new graduate profile... "it's a promise to your students to your parents to your community to our employeers that if a student graduates from linton stockton high school they will have certain attributes." linton- stockton is the first school of their size in this area to have a program like this. goad says it's something she thinks all schools should take part in. she wants the community to know when they run into a linton-stockton student or graduate they won't be dissapointed! "we will develop bench marks at each grade level that our students have to master in order that we can assure and fulfill that promise" > tonight anyone who attended the meeting was able to fill out this form. choosing what they think should be the competency requirenments for the students. administrators will narrow it down from there and implement the program this coming school year. reporting live in the newsroom sarah lehman news 10 back to you it's been a little more than a month little more
