"kids-first adoption services" met with those involved with "coda".. or the council on domestic abuse. they learned about the special resources a pregnant woman addicted to opiates needs. this includes options for adoption, help through her addiction, and training to those around them to properly give naloxone. "i will do anything that i can to reach women in need, and if it takes going to counselors, to hospitals, sober living homes, wherever i can find women that need help." newport says if you give a dose of naloxone to someone, you need to call 9-1-1. she says there's no guarantee the patient won't slip back into an overdose state. they could also need follow-up
