"shakamak schools" have implemented a program "to reward students". news 10's "garrett brown".. visited the high school campus today. he explains.. more about "this incentive program" and "how it works"! /////// < inspiring students to take school seriously can be difficult but teachers and administrators want to help their students succeed.. that's what sparked an idea for a reward system here at shakamak schools. superintendent dan noel has started up a good grades and attendance raffle. for each "a" letter grade a student gets at the end of the school year that student will get five tickets. they will also get a ticket for each day they to come to school. from there the students get the choose what item they would like to try and win. the grand prize for the high school is a car. it's a unique approach to motivating the school students. but it does have teachers and students excited. "well i thought it was a great idea. its another way to get the kids present here and too hopefully motivate them to try harder."
