came in third place. it can be difficult getting kids interested in history... but one community has created a book to help young people learn about the past. the sullivan county historical society is behind the effort. the book is called sullivan county indiana: a unique place to live. the book was created thanks to an indiana humanities grant and was written by local historians. the book covers everything from how the county got its name to its most historic figures. it also includes a few games! the free book is being handed out to all the forth graders in the county.
