Vincennes Rivet falls at state, Niehaus brings home mental attitude award

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHI) - A great season ends just a few point short of the goal for Vincennes Rivet. The Patriots lost in the class A girls' basketball state championship, 38-31 to Marquette Catholic.

Rivet ends the season as the state runner-up with a 26-3 record.

The lone Patriot senior, Megan Niehaus, left Bankers Life Fieldhouse with some extra hardware. She earned the class A Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude award for excellence in attitude, scholarship, leadership and athletic performance.
