TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Beauty, brains and talent took center stage on Saturday night.
It was part of the Miss Banks of the Wabash and Outstanding Teen Pageant at the Community Theatre of Terre Haute.
Contestants were judged on a variety of categories including talent, evening gown and on stage question.
Organizers say this competition focuses on furthering education through scholarships and being of service to their local communities.
"What this platform allows them to do is amazing," said Beth Burkle-Logue, Director, "and it allows them to speak for what they believe in and for them to become the young women for tomorrow."
The winners will go on to compete in the Miss Indiana and Outstanding Teen Pageant in June.
The miss winner will represent the state in the Miss America competition while the outstanding teen will go on to their national platform.
