TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - People in the Wabash Valley are taking on serious issues to make a strong and safer community.

The United Way is hoping to use your feedback to improve the community.

A series of subcommittees will focus on certain areas of concern.

On Monday, the organization started sharing ideas about issues...and how the subcommittees can help.

Groups being formed now will focus on blight, graduation rates, health, and financial struggles.

They are other groups on substance abuse and early education.

All of the groups are helping work toward the goal of moving 10,000 families into financial stability.
