TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The holiday season can be hard for families.
There are many groups working to help and that includes the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club.
The organization held its annual Christmas party on Monday and about 70 kids were there. Santa even stopped by while the children received special gifts that were donated.
Olive Garden fed the students and staff. Club staff members say this is an exciting time.
“This time of the year a lot of kids don't have a lot of things,” said Bobby Moore. “They may be struggling with food they may be struggling with gifts, they fell on hard times, but today at the Boys and Girls Club we make all that go away.”
The Grinch also was at the party.
Some of the children were frightened at first but the Grinch ended up reading to the kids.
