NEWTON, Ill. (WTHI) - With all the holiday celebrations, Santa Claus came to town!

This year was the 28th annual Santa Train.

The train made eight stops total, bringing Christmas cheer to the Wabash Valley! The event gives kids an opportunity to get on the train and see Santa!

"I think it's very exciting just to see the looks on kids faces," said Shae Ledune, Indiana Railroad Manager, "They see our trains probably roll through town several times even in a day."

Not only did the event entertain kids, but they also handed out coats, hats and gloves to children in need.

Organizers say they had a great turn out.
