TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Christians all around the world marked the start of Lent with Ash Wednesday.

During a midday mass, parishioners at Saint Benedict Catholic Church gathered to receive ashes on their foreheads.

It's a sign of repentance.
