CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) - A local student is ok after a scary situation with a canine.
The Palestine, Illinois Police Department says a loose dog injured a high school student by biting his upper thigh. It happened Friday afternoon.
Police say two loose dogs were detained by the Crawford County Animal Control.
The student was treated and released for minor injuries.
The dog that bit the student is being quarantined for 10 days to make sure it's been vaccinated.
The dog's owner was ticketed for "dog at large."
