SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTHI) - Getting stranded on the side of the road isn't ideal, but some area students are learning what to do if that happens to them.

All Sullivan High School sophomores are gaining some valuable car skills.

They're taking part in training sessions through the school's automotive shop.

Students are learning how to put on a spare tire and how to jump-start a car.

It's part of an effort to teach them about car safety, responsibility, and maintenance.
