TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - There's only one more week until Easter, but many celebrated early Saturday.
Remnant Church hosted a community Easter egg hunt in Terre Haute.
More than 27,000 eggs were left to be found.
The church also gave away 1,500 prizes.
One family told News 10 they look forward to big events like this.
"We just like to be a part of everything that's going on, and just try to keep in touch with all the big events going on," said Tracee Smith, attendee of the event.
There were four hunts today for separate age groups.
More than 35 local sponsors helped make the event possible.
