TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Ivy Tech wants to help make sure people understand some car care basics.

The automotive technology program is hosting a day of clinics.

They will talk about changing a tire, checking fluids, safety inspections, and much more.

We caught up with students on Tuesday as they worked.

They say they are excited to share their knowledge.

"Get the satisfaction of being able to help other people. I came in here knowing the basics...but a lot of people don't know how to check their oil or change their tires," Christa Ferry said.

The event is free.

There are still limited spots open in the 1:00 to 3:00 session on Saturday.

To reserve a spot, call 812-298-2453.
