TERRE HAUTE Ind. (WTHI)- With the warmer weather, crews have been out all over the Wabash Valley fixing roads.
In Terre Haute, you've probably noticed a lot of road work going on.
We've told you about the on-going improvement project in the 1st St., Hulman St., and Prairieton Rd. area.
Crews are also along U.S. 41 for a number of different projects, and that's just the start of it.
Debbie Calder with the Indiana Department of Transportation said projects along U.S. 41 include repaving, curb ramps, and concrete re-patching.
All of that work is forcing drivers into one lane in portions of the city.
A local driver said she has concerns about the congested traffic.
"Local people know that if First Street is blocked off you can take third street or thirteenth, but when they have construction on all three of them it's getting impossible to get across town. We're on a limited time frame. You have to get back to certain places and do other things and it just throws your whole schedule off," said Cathy Simmons.
Drivers can expect to see repairs on U.S. 41 wrap up by the end of June.
