TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University is honoring a slain journalist.
That's with the creation of the 'Jamal Khashoggi Annual Address on Journalism and the Media.'
ISU President Deborah Curtis made the announcement on Friday.
The address will examine issues related to journalism, the First Amendment, and the freedom of the press.
Khashoggi is an alumnus of Indiana State University.
He was also a Time Magazine Person of the Year last year.
Khashoggi was assassinated last year in October after visiting the Saudi embassy in Turkey.
