TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Over the next 24 hours, we could see some measurable rain.
Potentially of flooding capacity.

JD Kesler of the Vigo County Emergency Management System says some of the things you should have on hand are pretty simple.
"No matter what the emergency is, it makes no difference if it's flooding, or icing, or winter weather, anything like that, you just need to have some of your very basics on hand, always have water available, always have some dry goods. Things that are long term storage capable."
He also says when the threat for flooding makes its way here, they make sure to look at a lot of different variables.
"We generally just watch the national weather service, the USGS site has some information on it that we watch, and obviously we watch the local media to see what the probabilities are."
Kesler says, over the next 24 hours, he and his crew will be keeping a close eye on the rain situation here in the Wabash Valley.
