VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The Deputy Director of Vigo County Emergency Management entered a plea deal in court this Thursday morning.
Jerome "JD" Kesler was accused of voting in a different county than the county he lives in.
Under the plea agreement he entered it says Kesler would be placed on informal probation for one year and he would also have community service.
You may remember Indiana State Police arrested Kesler in June.
That's after allegations surfaced that Kesler, an Edgar County, Illinois resident, voted in Vigo County elections. State Police say that happened five times.
When he was arrested Kesler was suspended without pay.
