Crews start work on Terre Haute roads

We have some traffic alerts for Terre Haute drivers.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - We have some traffic alerts for Terre Haute drivers.

Starting on Monday, Washington Avenue will be closed from 19th to 20th Street.

19th Street from Franklin to College will be closed until 4:00 Monday afternoon.

City officials say crews will be repairing gas lines.

Also, if you are traveling south on 1st Street, the road will be closed from Locust to Cherry.

That closure will last through May 2nd.

Officials say crews will be working on curb, sidewalk, and asphalt construction.
