TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Fire crews were on the scene of a semi fire early Sunday morning.

It happened around 7:30 on the I-70 off ramp at exit #7 in Terre Haute.

The driver told the fire department that he pulled off to take a nap around Midnight, then woke up to the smell of smoke early Sunday.

The driver said he suspects an electrical problem was the cause.

Emergency crews found the semi fully engulfed.

No injuries were reported.

Drivers were being encouraged to avoid the area while the fire was being put out.
