WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Fire investigators are ruling a West Terre Haute house fire suspicious.

It happened just after 8 p.m. on Monday on Elmwood Avenue.

The house was heavily damaged and firefighters told us no one was home when the fire started.

Investigators were at the scene Tuesday morning. They say they've ruled out all natural or electrical causes.

They say they will continue working the investigation and hopefully find answers later this week.
