CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The Clay County YMCA hosted an Easter egg hunt.
They partnered with the French Funeral Home in Brazil, Indiana.
The funeral home has put on the annual hunt for the last ten years. This is the second year the Clay County YMCA has partnered with the group.
Over 600 kids came out to participate on Saturday.
Bikes were donated to the event from the Shifting Gears Program out of the Putnamville Correctional Facility.
The word "bike" was in several Easter eggs. Kids who found those eggs got a brand new bike.
Organizers say the event is all about seeing the kids have a good time.
"It's definitely worth it. It's fun to have the kids and families come out, to see the excitement on the kids face whenever they win a prize, and just being able to have some family time," said Nicole Fry, Clay County YMCA executive branch director.
Fry says they had a great turn out this year.
They hope to continue the hunt next year.
