TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Launch Terre Haute continues to bring new life to our community.

On Thursday morning, the organization invited keynote speaker John McDonald to share his experience and success in the tech world. He's the CEO of Clear Object, the fastest growing IT company in Indiana for four years.

McDonald shared some insight on a topic called the internet of things. Basically, he says all things including the future is driven by data.

"Devices as small as ignitors that you put in a gas stove, to entire automobiles are being changed radically by this idea of building smarts in them and getting data from them," he explained. "In truth, every company is a technology company, some just don't know it yet."

McDonald says he wanted to start a dialogue and get Terre Haute entrepreneurs thinking about the internet of things and how it affects their business.
