Terre Haute Police released the name of the victim on Monday morning. He was identified as 34-year-old David Carroll.

Neighbors at the scene said they were shocked that this happened in their neighborhood.

"It's been a nice quiet neighborhood since we've lived here. There hasn't been anything like this happen,” said Josh Niece. “We have a couple kids so yeah it’s defiantly scary to think that there were shots fired across the street."
