TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The community is doing some cleaning to honor our fallen veterans.

Terre Haute Lodge Number 19 invited volunteers to help clean veteran's memorial markers at Highland Lawn Cemetery.

Lodge members say it's a way to give back and show respect for fallen veterans.

The group worked to clean and preserve 664 memorial markers.

The event comes just in time to prepare for Veterans Day. The holiday is Saturday, Nov. 11th.
