TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One person has died in a fatal fire on Terre Haute’s North side.
That's according to the Otter Creek Fire Department.
Officials say it happened at a home at 6381 North Rosewood Street.
The Otter Creek Fire Department responded to the call around 8:30 Saturday night.
Firefighters say at the scene, there were heavy flames through the roof of the house.
Besides the resident that died, fire officials say multiple household pets were also found in the home.
Officials say they have yet to determine a cause of the fire.
At this hour, the investigation continues.
Forensic Pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr says the autopsy for the victim is tentatively set for late Tuesday.
