Auto Hill Climb celebrates 50 years

NEWPORT, Ind. (WTHI) – Classic car lovers united this past weekend.

It was all in fun to race up the hill.

The Newport Antique Auto Hill Climb celebrated its 50th year this weekend.

Put on by The Newport Lions Club, cars race up a 140 feet high hill.

More than 300 cars competed in the event.

The festival ended on Sunday afternoon with a giant prize drawing.
