Schools, churches, and assisted living facility receive dress donations thanks to Garrett Sands Kindness Project

Thanks to a lot of work...and even more donation, more than 700 dresses were given away.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - We have new details on the most recent Garrett Sands Kindness Project.

Organizers recently held a prom dress giveaway.

Thanks to a lot of work...and even more donation, more than 700 dresses were given away.

Sullivan and Riverton Parke High Schools received around 465 dresses.

Sarah Scott Middle School also received dress donations.

'Mother o the Bridge' dresses were given to Wyndmoore Assisted Living Facility for a senior prom.

A church in Illinois received a shipment of about 100 dresses for a special needs prom.

It wasn't just the girls that benefited.

Every guy that was on the wait-list for a tux either received one of got a $100 voucher at Men's Warehouse.

It was all made possible through donations.
