TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Some Wabash Valley residents are spending their spring break learning what it's like to be a veterinarian.
4-H members took a look behind the doors at two local vet clinics.
On Tuesday, they shadowed vets as they performed surgeries, ultrasounds, and routine check-ups.
Lyric Krause is a 4-H member who works with livestock.
She hopes this experience will help her find a career path.
"We're all just here to kind of take everything in and see if veterinarian medicine is a field we would like to pursue in the future," Krause said.
The help of the Purdue Extension Office helped make this opportunity possible.
