Patrece Dayton

Patrece Dayton came to WTHI in May 1988 and is currently an anchor/reporter/producer. Patrece co-anchors News 10 at 6 p.m. and News 10 Nightwatch on WTHI and is the is the anchor for myFOX10. Patrece also plays a producer role in the myFOX10 newscast as well as produces and reports a number of special reports for News 10.

In 2009, Patrece was honored with the Athena award from the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce. This is awarded to a person who has demonstrated excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession. She is the recipient of two Indiana Broadcast Association Spectrum awards for general news reporting and news series. Patrece is a three-time Emmy nominee and an Emmy winner in 2011 for feature reporting.

She has been involved in many volunteer organizations such as Terre Haute Women’s Club “Shoe Bus” program that gives free shoes and socks to needy Vigo County School children, United Cerebral Palsy Annual Telethon, Children’s Miracle Network Telethon host and middle school tutor for the Vigo County School Corporation. She has also served on a number of community boards such at Habitat for Humanity and Volleyball for the Small.

Patrece comes to Terre Haute from Lakeland, Florida. This was her first job out of college after graduating from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She is a busy wife and mother of two sons and she is very proud to call the Wabash Valley home!
