Kit Hanley is the Weekend Evening Anchor and a Multimedia Journalist for WTHI. She joined News10 in June of 2021.
Kit was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and ventured down to the heart of the South to swim and attend school at Louisiana State University. Geaux Tigers!
Kit graduated in May of 2021 with a degree in Mass Communication, and a minor in both Business Administration and Political Science. While attending LSU, she upheld the role of captain of the LSU swim team, president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and worked for the student-run broadcast station “Tiger TV” as a sports reporter. She takes pride in the fact that she got to cover LSU’s perfect 2019 National Championship season with the likes of Joey B and Justin Jefferson. This is Kit’s first full-time job out of college. While she was a student, Kit also worked part-time as a writer for LSU Wire for USA Today covering all things Tiger nation.
Kit is a fan of all things sports, gourmet coffee, and Shaquille O’Neal.
When she's not at the station, Kit enjoys CrossFit, exploring outside, swimming/running, cooking and creative writing. She loves to immerse herself into a good self-help book, give big hugs, and serve as a personal hype man for her friends and family.
