TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - News 10 has confirmed that a three year old male child died Friday afternoon in what may have been a tragic accident.
Terre Haute Police tell News 10, around 2:30 Friday afternoon, officers responded to the Vectren Business located on south First Street in Terre Haute.
When they arrived, they found a young boy unresponsive in a pick up truck in the business’s parking lot.
The child was rushed to Union Hospital, but doctors were not able to revive him.
According to police, the child’s father didn’t realize the little boy was still in the hot truck when he arrived at work around 10:30 Friday morning.
He would normally have been dropped off at a nearby day care.
The case is under investigation.
