VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - This weekend was the 41st annual Pioneer Days at Fowler Park.
Crafters and vendors lined the gravel paths of the park.
They sold everything from homemade caramel corn to replicas of pioneer clothing.
In each of the cabins, people re-created pioneer life.
"Sometimes people just forget about their history. They have to kind of get back to where we came from and how they used to live. It's a different life back then, a lot harder life... And people just didn't realize a simpler time, a harder time, but it's good to know where you came from, it's good to know where your roots were,” said Adam Grossman, assistant superintendent.
This isn't a money-making festival. Just a chance for the community to see what life was like.
