TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Baesler's Market in Terre Haute is trying to fight hunger.
The store teamed up with Home Health Care Solutions for an event they called the ‘Solution for Hunger and Wellness'.
Home Health Care nurses were on site to test blood pressures and blood sugars, all free of charge.
All you had to do was donate at least one non-perishable food item and the donated food went to the Lighthouse Mission.
“We wanted to do something for the the community, to give back so we wanted to donate the food since it's the holiday time,” said Bobbie Furr, Home Health Care Solutions.
The organization gave free screenings until 4 p.m.
