TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A Terre Haute woman pleaded guilty Friday to neglect and criminal confinement.
Nikki Russell's agreement means she will serve a maximum of 10 years behind bars.
Russell and her husband, Larry, were arrested in December after one of their adopted sons escaped their home and walked to a nearby hospital.
Investigators found their other adopted children locked in a room, beaten, and covered with bodily fluid.
Her next court date is November 19 while her husband is expected in court next week.
