GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Greene County filed charges against a local woman accusing her of child neglect.
The charges were filed yesterday against Frances Rooney but the Sheriff's Department says she's not been taken into custody.
Rooney is believed to be the mother of that two-year-old child found in a wooded area earlier this month in the Sullivan Greene Forest.
On August 9 a man found the child naked and covered in bug bites. That child was taken to the hospital and treated.
The Greene County prosecutor filed one charge of neglect of a dependent against Rooney and her next court appearance is scheduled for September.
