TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One special little girl was able to have a blast at the Terre Haute Labor Day Parade, while spreading awareness.
News 10 has told you about Parker Auterson. She's a young girl currently battling cancer.
Her mother, Megan Auterson , has been behind the push to make September Childhood Cancer awareness month.
Monday, Parker and several other kids marched in the Parade. She got a chance to ride in a convertable, she called the barbie mobile.
Parker's mother said the community support has been tremendous over the last few days.
"Parker's Facebook page has actually gotten a lot more likes. A lot more things are going on. I've actually seen a few signs on third street say childhood cancer awareness already, so I'm excited!" Megan Auterson said.
Details are few at this hour, but News 10 is on the scene of a single vehicle crash on State Road 59, just south of Mansfield.
Two people are in the Vigo County jail facing charges of burglary with deadly weapons, residential entry, and possession of various drugs and paraphernalia.

UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
