Susan Dinkel is News Director and 5 p.m. Anchor for WTHI-TV 10 and MyFOX10 in Terre Haute, Ind.
She joined the WTHI team in 1995 after graduating from DePauw University.
In 2012, Susan accepted the Special Achievement: Station Excellence Emmy for WTHI-TV 10. This prestigious honor was presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Ohio Valley Chapter.
In 2008, she and Chief Photojournalist Mike Latta earned the station’s first Emmy for a Feature News Report-Series called “New Day, New Way”.
Susan's earned several Midwestern Regional Emmy nominations. Her work has also been recognized by the Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, Indiana Broadcasters Association and the Indiana State Teachers Association.
Susan was born and raised in Terre Haute, where she resides with her husband and two daughters. She is very active in her community.
Susan believes in giving back to her profession. She serves on the Board of Governors for the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences as the Indiana Vice President. She also serves on the Board for the Indiana Associated Press.
UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
Update: The Washington Police Department is looking to speak with a person of interest in an ongoing death investigation.
