TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Terre Haute North has won back-to-back Wabash Valley Classics again after beating Sullivan 56-44 on Friday night.
The Patriots won the Classic in 2005 and repeated in 2006. This is also their fifth Wabash Valley Classic title in the tournament's 12-year history.
It was the fourth straight time that the Terre Haute North Patriots appeared in the Wabash Valley Classic and the second time that Sullivan appeared in the finals in the last three years.
Sullivan and Terre Haute North met in the 2009 finals and Sullivan won that game 44-42.
In Friday's game, Sullivan's Rhett Smith broke the school's scoring record set back in 1999 by Joey Davidson when he score 1,274 points.
The Sullivan Golden Arrows were led in scoring by Rhett Smith who finished with 18.
The Patriots were led by Austin Lewis' 17 points, Ross Sponsler's 13 and Matt O'Leary's 12.
