VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) - A local developer proposed a new hotel near downtownVincennes.
Developer Mike Sievers is proposing the construction of a new $6million hotel along Willow Street, just south of the downtownarea.
The 64-room Marriott Townhouse Inn would be built on a four acrevacant lot. The Willow Street area is considered an under utilizedbusiness corridor in the community.
"I think there is a need for more rooms here," said Sievers. "Ithink this is a great location."
The project still needs approval from the Board of ZoningAppeals and the City Council. Construction could begin nextsummer.
