PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - One person is dead after a fatal accident involving amotorcycle.
It happened around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in northern Parke County,Ind.
Police said a motorcycle, driven by Kenneth L. Leach, 52, ofMarshall, Ind., was traveling north on U.S. 41 just south of StateRoad 47, near Turkey Run.
That's when it left the east side of the road and struck anS.U.V. that was parked at Gobbler's Knob Country Store.
Leach was taken to West Central Community Hospital in Clintonwhere he later died Police said Leach was under the influence ofalcohol, and tested positive for marijuana.
A witness said the motorcycle was travelling at a high rate ofspeed.
UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
Update: The Washington Police Department is looking to speak with a person of interest in an ongoing death investigation.
