TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Women on the campus of Indiana State University are taking astand against sexual assault.
They held their second annual No Woman Left Behind rallyThursday night.
This event is organized by students in an effort to bringsexual assault prevention awareness to the campus.
One of the main points they expressed is the importance ofgirls to not only protect themselves, but to help protect otherfemales on campus.
"They need to watch out for themselves, watch out for theirfriends," said Outreach Educator Aimee Janssen-Robinson. "We'vebeen really pushing a bystander intervention where friends step into help each other out."
Artist David Ilan was also at the event.
He created a portrait using pointalism, which means theentire picture was created from dots.
Each dot on the portrait represents a survivor of sexualabuse.
The holiday season is often a happy one for the whole family, but for those grieving the loss of a loved one it can be a difficult time of the year. One local family is carrying on the memory of their son during the holidays.
UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.

UPDATE: An assault on Friday around 2 p.m. leaves one man seriously injured. Terre Haute Police responded to the 2100 block of Locust Street in Terre Haute after a report of a battery.
