WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) - One weekend in the Wabash Valley will bring an economic boost to the area.
The annual Fontanet Bean Dinner Festival on Saturday, now in its 117th year, will have more than 300 pounds of bacon, one ton of beans and a couple thousand people enjoying the food.
The Downtown Block Party in Terre Haute will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will go through the entire day.
They are expecting around 10,000 people to show up throughout the day.
15,000 people are projected to be at Scheid Diesel’s Extravaganza starting Friday and running through Sunday at the Vigo County Fairgrounds.
UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
The Washington Police Department responded Friday around 2 a.m. to a complaint of a male subject being shot. The incident happened on Oak Grove Road in Washington near Ebenezer Baptist Church.
