TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A word of tribute and thanks to one of the people who made News 10 what it is today.
Vicki Weger, who was News 10’s Assignment Editor and go-to newsperson for many years throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s will be honored Thursday night by the Indiana Broadcasters Association.
She will be inducted into the IBA Hall of Fame.
Weger has spent a career in print and broadcast journalism, working as a newspaper reporter and columnist as well as a radio and TV news producer.
Among other accomplishments, Weger was part of the team that brought Channel 10 to its number one spot in the ratings. That's when we were known as Action 10 News!
Weger still freelances as a network news producer.
