TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (wthi) - A group of people were displaced early Monday morning after a fire completely destroyed their residents.
Multiple fire departments in Terre Haute responded to a call to dispatch about a house fire just after 3:00 Monday morning near downtown Terre Haute.
Firefighters arrived at a home located at 1339 Chestnut Street, just a few blocks north of Wabash Avenue.
Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the basement.
Luckily, there were no injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross is helping seven adults and five kids that were displaced by the fire.
A cause has not been determined.
