TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State Police continue their investigation of a sexual battery case involving three local teen boys and a 14-year-old female victim.
Two of the three suspects in the case appeared in court by video conference Wednesday morning.
Tucker Ray, 18 of Terre Haute, faces three possible felony charges including sexual misconduct with a minor, child exploitation, and sexual battery.
Peter Tanoos II, 18 of Terre Haute, faces two possible felony charges including child exploitation and sexual battery.
On Wednesday afternoon Christopher Ivan Lucio Hayden, age 19, of Terre Haute, surrendered himself to Indiana State Police officers at the Putnamville Post.
According to officials, Hayden had been out of town on family business when he became aware of the warrant.
He faces possible charges for child exploitation and possession of child pornography. His bond is set at $50,000.
A report from the Indiana State Police shows the incident that those charges are based on was on or about June 30.
According to the Probable Cause Affidavit News 10 received Wednesday, Ray, Tanoos II, and Hayden, 18 (at the time of incident), were at a drinking party with two females both under 18.
The victim reports she was given a "gummy bear" possibly laced with the drug Xanax. She told police she lost consciousness at the party.
The probable cause then states that the five individuals left the party and went to the Holiday Inn on Terre Haute's south side. On the way there, the victim is reported to have vomited in the vehicle.
The investigation revealed that Ray rented the hotel room for the five individuals. Once in the room, the friend of the victim helped the victim shower and clean off based on her interview with police.
According to several statements from the five teens, the friend of the victim went to sleep in one of the beds in the room alongside Hayden.
Based on the probable cause, Hayden awoke in the middle of the night and saw Tanoos II and Ray fondling the victim in the adjacent bed. Hayden told police he took a picture of the incident. The victim was reportedly naked in the bed when this was happening.
According to the probable cause, the victim sought treatment for sexual assault on July 2.
Indiana State Police investigated the case for three weeks before the final warrants were issued for the arrests of the three individuals.
As of Tuesday evening, Ray and Tanoos II both turned themselves in to police.
In court Wednesday morning it was revealed that a property bond was posted for Ray. Tanoos II remained in custody on a $50,000 bond.
Ray will be on home detention, monitored by a GPS device, with permission to go to class.
Both men were prohibited from having contact with the victim or immediate family of the victim.
